Calling in work

For a reason, this morning devotion had lifting effect on me.
The sense of God’s calling indeed is a powerful theology.
I still remember the illustration given. Looking at the land of Israel, one would wonder, how these people develop a fertile land in the dessert.
Suggested answer is because the sense of calling embedded in them. Hence they work to make it possible.

With the same drives, today i approach my work as God’s calling. And surprisingly, today’s work result in something which i never imagined before. I think it’s like a breakthrough.

Afternoon meeting with group of friends were turned into fruitful discussion also. And short meal sincere prayer, God answered that. Somehow, I could sense God is at work, through all the small mundane things called as work!

So, i thank God for redeeming work. For giving grace in the dry land of work. That with faith, i could see spring of water.

Housing updates

Tonight, we’re excited to find the awaited mail regarding our housing schedule.
Both of us were praying and still praying again before opening the letter.
It’s very thick, and i knew it’s about the time our schedule.

After we prayed, we opened the mail…hoping to see an early date.
Bit to our disappointment, the date is in September.
So it’d be after the baby is born.

My wife as usual, cheered me up…”it’s not about the date, but that we get good unit.”
And i remember what Moses says:
“The eternal God is your refuge / dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deu 33:27

Indeed, the eternal God our dwelling place.

Word of the week – 6

If you, then, you who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! ~ Mat 7:11

Righteous deeds counted

for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. ~Rev 19:7-8

I shared this with my wife few days ago. If one ever wondered, what are all our troubles mean? This probably an encouragement from Jesus.

All righteous deeds is considered what makes the fine linen for the bride of the Lamb. I can imagine that probably somewhere, there’s small, very small piece of fabric, with my name written. What a joy :)

As a good friend said to me the other day. God is just. He will repay everyone rightly. Though in this life you don’t seem rewarded much by men, but God is just and will reward rightly. That Revelation verse just confirms it, that all righteous deeds are remembered and counted.

Graduating

This afternoon, i took a small walk to check on the yellow bird. I didn’t see it anymore. Probably it has gone. Thinking about graduating, there will be time for birds to graduate and become growing adult. The time they have to leave their nest.

Read somewhere last week. For Christians, we never graduate :) Keep humble, keep learning.

Wonderful Design

Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. ~ Psalm 8:2

How beautiful the verse isn’t it? Taken in the context of the Psalm, God uses mouth of babies and infants to declare his majestic glory. As taken by Jesus to emphasize that praises belongs to the Lord.
